Review: Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by J.L. Murray
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Escaped From Hell And Other Disasters

This series must be read in order. This is the first book. I can't wait to read The Devil Is A Gentleman!

Nikki's life has been on a downward spiral ever since her ability to see ghosts was discovered and she ended up on the Abnormal Registry. Abnormals are not allowed to work... At least not legally. Struggling to pay the bills was hard enough before Sofi got sick. Now with the hospital bills, it is an exercise in futility. What is she going to do? Finding The Deep Blue Sea (a bar she would have sworn was not there when she was a child) while wandering her father's old stomping grounds seems like she has entered the Twilight Zone... The bar's mysterious owner offers her a job and it seems too good to be true. Is he setting her up? Is this a trap? Can he really get her off the Registry? And if so... How? What does he want from her? Should she take the job? Is this the answer to all her prayers? Or her first step on the road to Hell?

***This series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy apocalytal dystopian paranormal romance mysteries full of intrigue, action, adventure, suspense, humor and plenty of horror where nothing is what it seems and noone is quite telling the truth :)
