Review: House of Ravens

House of Ravens House of Ravens by Karpov Kinrade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

From The Ashes Comes Nightfall

This series must be read in order. The first book is Court Of Nightfall. This is the second book. I can't wait to read Night Of Nyx!

Scarlett made it through the Initiate Trials and the destruction of Apex. Now she just has to get through running a rebellion with the Dark Templars and her first year as an Initiate. Living a double life is harder than one would think. Her new roommate, Corrine, will not make it any easier for her to pull it all off! Liking her, despite the problems her presence creates, they become fast friends. Finally feeling like she fits in with her little group helps her keep grounded and move forward despite the pain caused by the loss of her parents and her childhood friend. Will she be able to survive living in both worlds? Which will win out in the end? Pat or Rebel? Will she prevail on all fronts? Or lose more people she loves? Can one person be pulled in so many directions and survive? With the numbers so far out of their favor will their Rebellion even survive?

***This series is suitable for mature young adult through adult readers who enjoy futuristic post postapocalyptal sci-fi paranormal fantasy action adventure mysteries full of intrigue, thrills, epic struggles and a dash of maybe romance set in Dystopian societies rotten to the core :)
