Review: Song of Kai

Song of Kai Song of Kai by Karpov Kinrade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mourning The Prince Of Ravens

This series must be read in order. The first book is Court Of Nightfall. The second book is House Of Ravens. The third book is Night Of Nyx. This is the fourth book. I can't wait to read Daughter Of Strife!

Corrine is the Crown Princess. She is also a Nephilim. Noone but Scarlett (who turned her) and Zorin (who turned Scarlett) know of this fact. She thought being Crown Princess was dangerous ... But this secret has the potential to end not just her life but also the lives of everyone she cares about. Trusting the wrong person could lead to the final end of their almost extinct Race. Travelling back to her Kingdom is a poignant and melancholy affair. They go so that she may sing The Song Of The Dead for her brother Kai. Nothing will ever be the same without him. How will she survive without her best friend and protector? Will she ever come to terms with being a Nephilim? What will her Talent be? Why has it not shown itself yet? Who is the terrorist plaguing her country? What does he truly want? Will she be allowed to mourn her brother in peace?

***This series is suitable for mature young adult through adult readers who enjoy futuristic post postapocalyptal sci-fi paranormal fantasy action adventure mysteries full of intrigue, thrills, epic struggles and a dash of maybe romance and quite a bit of tragedy set in Dystopian societies rotten to the core :)
