Review: Raising Evangeline

Raising Evangeline Raising Evangeline by Lisa Kent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Endings Bring New Beginnings

This series must be read in order. The first book is Peace Cottage. This is the second (and I believe final) book.

Lucy has had three years to grieve Jack and the short time they had together. With Saffy and Delia about to graduate from college they have many decisions to make. One is moving to the city and getting a full-time job while the other is moving close to her new college to do a graduate program and research a cure for ALS. Her children are grown and leaving home for the final time to sart real lives of their own. Should Lucy stay at Peace Cottage alone? Should she find something new and meaningful to do with her life? How will she fill her time? Will she always be alone?

***This series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy poignant stories of loss and starting over as well as finding meaning through good works and community spirit in a tightly knit and loving supportive community that is more like a family than a town :)
