Review: As White as Snow

As White as Snow As White as Snow by Salla Simukka
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Trying To Escape

This series must be read in order. The first book is As Red As Blood. This is the second book.

After all the drama of busting up Polar Bear's crime ring and her parents' regression to over protectiveness Lumikki's had enough! She decides to make a quick getaway and vacation in Prague... Taking only the clothes that would fit in her backpack and booking into a cheap hostel for the duration. She is finally AWAY... No one knows her or any of her stories... She can just relax and play tourist... Until she meets a strange girl named Lenka who swears that she is her half sister... Only problem is that as far as she knows neither of her parents had ever been to Prague... Why would they hide that from her? Is this girl really her sister? And if not why would she pretend she is? Why is her family so secretive? What are they hiding?

This book still hints at supernatural undertones along with all the mystery, thrills ,and suspenseful adventures :) I really love this series especially as it is incredibly easy to get sucked into because the characters are so dynamic and complex. Two books in and I am still not entirely sure what is going on... I love that! I can't wait to read the next book As Black As Ebony and hope there are many more!

***This series is suitable for extremely mature young adult through adult readers (due to a few graphicly depicted memories of sex) who enjoy true mystery in their mysteries filled with thrills, chills and dark humor !!!

***Not for the homophobic or closed minded***
