Review: Going For It

Going For It Going For It by Liz Matis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

•••I listened to the Audible Audio Edition of this book•••

The Supermodel And The Super Bowl MVP

This series must be listened to(or read) in order. The first book is Playing For Keeps. This is the second book. I can't wait to listen to Huddle Up!

Hannah has serious issues. Her mother raised her to be a beauty queen instead of a real girl. All she knew were beauty treatments and pageants until her first big modeling break. Homeschooling from her mother was a joke. And yet no matter what she did she was never good enough. She never feels like she is enough, can ever be enough. Raising herself legally since she was 16 gave her some confidence but it is really just a pretty shell. Can she really have a real future with Jake? Or is he just like every other man? Will he try and exploit her like all the others? How can her really care for her? How can she possibly be enough?

Jake had a rough life. Football saved him from his selfdestrutive tendencies by giving him an outlet for his aggression and anger issues. It saved his life and made him a star. Now not even football can keep him calm. Hannah got under his skin and he is not sure he can live without her. How will he win her back? Will they be able to make it long term? Or is she like the rest of the women and seeking fame and news coverage? Is he in love with her? Will he be able to make her see they are meant to be together?

***This series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy chicklit steamy sports romances with a HEA and a good dose of humor :)
