Review: Shadowboxer

Shadowboxer Shadowboxer by Cari Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

•••I listened to the Audible Audio Edition of this book•••

I absolutely adore the dual narration by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross! I have yet to hear a book featuring them that wasn't enhanced by their stellar performances :) They are both incredible actors who play really well off of each other. Every performance with them is an enthralling new treat! Enjoy!

The Spider And The Fox

This series must be listened to (or read) in order. This is the first book. I can't wait for the next one!

Fighting is just a means to an end. Mia uses it to exorcise the demons of her past and to make extra money. Soon her baby sister Carly will be out of highschool and they will make a new life far away and together. Somewhere safer. Nicer. Like where they grew up. She just needs to convince Fox to fight her. Then she will have enough money for her endgame. Another new life... But this time for both of them. Too bad women fighters are not taken seriously. How will she convince him to get into the ring with her? What if he just laughs at her?

"Fox" (Tray) is bored. With fighting. With his life. With everything. He doesn't even know what he is looking for... Until he sees Mia on the street. She intrigues him like no other person ever has. Something about her is familiar and he knows he has never met her before. He'd remember. There is no other woman like her and he has to get to know her. Why is she so enticing? What makes her impossible to ignore or forget? Will he be able to get her to give him a shot? Why does he even want one?

***This series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy steamy humorous chicklit romances with some horror and alot of MMA goodness along with fractured people learning to trust and a HEA :)
