Review: Taming Jake

Taming Jake Taming Jake by JoMarie DeGioia
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

•••I listened to the Audible Audio Edition of this book•••

The narration was great! The nuances of each character's emotions were clearly portrayed lending a depth to the story I might have missed if I was reading it instead of listening :) Each book in this series the narration hets better as she grows more familiar with the characters! I can't wait to listen to the rest of this series as Wendy Rich Stetson seems to completely convey the author's vision fully!

The Thrillseeker Playboy & The Staid Accountant?

This series must be listened to (or read) in order. The first book is Finding Harmony. This is the second book. I can't wait to listen to Loving Cassie!

Claire has pretty much spent her whole life worrying and planning because of her father's gambling addiction. She lives a very spartan life always scrimping and saving so that she can support both her father and herself. Rarely does she treat herself to even the smallest of luxuries. It just isn't in her budget. She is an excellent accountant because of her dilligence to the bottom line... After all, she has always had to do alot with a little. Meeting Jake throws her for a loop. She is so attracted to him... But he is dangerous. The kind of man to never settle down. Can she afford to take a chance on him? Will he be worth her while? Or will he just disappoint her the way her father always has? Can she trust him with her heart?

Jake never ever has relationships. Not even then friends with benefits kind. He has never even had a female friend! Claire intrigues him and he can't seem to stay away. He tries to be friends with her though deep down he knows he wants more. Will he be able to get her to let down her guard? Is he ready to take the ultimate chance and have a real relationship? Can he convince her he is worthy of her?

***This chicklit romance series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy hopeful stories with plenty of steam and a dash of ecofriendly morals to go with the requisite HEA :)
